The Laya Gasa Trek is a challenging and rewarding trek in Bhutan that takes you through stunning landscapes, high mountain passes, and remote villages. The trek usually takes around 16 to 19 days to complete, including acclimatization and rest days. Here’s a suggested 12-day itinerary for the Laya Gasa Trek

- Transfer to your hotel and rest to acclimate to the altitude.
- Visit Paro town and get a briefing on the trek.
- Drive to Shana and begin the Laya Gasa Trek.
- Trek to Thongo Samba and set up camp for the night.
- Trek through beautiful forests and valleys.
- Reach Jangothang, with a view of Mt. Jhomolhari.
- Camp overnight.
- Rest and acclimate to the high altitude.
- Optionally, take a day hike to Tshophu Lake for stunning views.
- Camp overnight in Jangothang.
- Trek through lush meadows and valleys.
- Pass Nyele La Pass (4,890 meters).
- Reach Lingshi and camp for the night.
- Trek through beautiful landscapes and rhododendron forests.
- Reach Chebisa village and camp nearby.
